Education & Train the Trainer

Harm to Healing Collaborative provides restorative education and train-the-trainer support for organizations and community groups that want lasting capacity (to be able to have RJ practices embedded in the culture…) — not just a one-time workshop. We help teams build shared language and practical skills for conflict response, facilitation, and accountability planning, and we prepare internal leaders who can carry the work forward with consistency. Our approach is grounded in our values — healing, accountability, dignity, safety, truth, and integrity — and tailored to fit your setting, constraints, and goals.

What We Offer

1. Intro Training
Foundational training in restorative practice and conflict response for staff teams.

2. Advanced Training
Deeper skill-building for experienced staff and emerging facilitators (high-conflict dynamics, accountability planning, and stronger facilitation practice).

3. Train-the-Trainer
A structured pathway that prepares internal leaders to deliver core trainings and support day-to-day restorative implementation.

4. Implementation Support
Practical support to embed restorative tools into workflows, supervision, team norms, and conflict-response protocols.

5. Other Trainings
Mediation training and advanced practice aligned with professional standards and your setting.

Who Is It For

We work with mission-driven organizations and institutions — including affordable and supportive housing providers, community-based organizations, non-profit organizations, reentry providers, and justice-system partners — that want internal (their own) capacity to address conflict early, reduce escalation, and strengthen accountability and repair.

Outcomes

  • Internal leaders who can facilitate restorative conversations with clarity, boundaries, and care
  • More consistent, early conflict response — less reliance on crisis-only interventions
  • Stronger follow-through and shared expectations across staff teams
  • Improved communication and reduced escalation in high-stress situations
  • Sustainable restorative practice that continues after the engagement

When This Approach Works Best

Train-the-trainer works best when organizations want long-term capacity and can commit to practice, coaching, and follow-through — not just learning concepts. We tailor training depth to fit your setting and readiness, and we help clarify where restorative processes are appropriate and where other safety responses are required.
